Very cool Collin. If you need an extra pair of hands, give me a shout. I'd like to see how it comes apart and goes back together in case I get to do one on the roadster.

Thank goodness you're getting rid of that stereo. That needed to go a long time ago. Sounds like some great upgrade plans.

I ended up getting a non-contact pyrometer for less than half price from Sears (good sale and the sales girl liked me). I tried it at my last AX and found the tires a bit hotter than I expected (measured outside, middle, and inside). Now I just need to better understand what all the data means.
I also have used it around the house. Did you know that some people are afraid of a pyrometer?
Here is a quick note on tire temps from Hankook http://www.hankooktireusa.com/motor/motor_techinfo_temperature.asp

grassroots motorsport just did a good article on front camber, laptimes, and tire temps. Just received this issue about a week ago.

It has been my Rewards Weight for long enough! Why would you want me to be faster?? Just makes my laptimes a moving target.
I will miss the stereo, no doubt, but between me liking to roll with the windows down, and occasional exhaust roar (esp. more with shorter rear diff), its not the perfect chamber for critical listening.
I have internal struggles between keeping it a street car or going "all out". I think I am ready for the next level of challenge after HPDE's, either time trials in the M3 or I would start looking at a different vehicle for wheel-2-wheel (i still consider the car too nice for w2w action, which would completely rule out any street driving).
