 New project for Spring '07
« Thread Started on Feb 28, 2007, 11:32pm »

Our family has owned this truck for about 13 years. The truck is from Alabama so its never seen snow/salt. It sat in the garage for 10 of those 13 years and these past couple weeks I have been replacing random parts that needed to be replaced. It will just be somethin to have fun with this spring/summer ;D.

It's a 1974 Ford F100 stepside shortbed w/ a 360. It's really in awesome condition. No major rust spots or dents. Here are some pics...

It's definitely a different pace for me. Very basic. I literally sat in the engine bay to remove one of spark plugs...haha

I had to do the same thing, "sat in the engine bay", when I helped my dad change the valve cover gaskets on his 70's GMC. A far cry from the knuckle bagging tightness in the engine bay of my MINI. Kind of refreshing isn't it?

Oops. Forgot about this thread.

Yeah, it is kind of refreshing. A lot of room to work. I like it.

Anyway, I got her started yesterday. I forgot how loud that exhaust is. I cannot wait to drive it when it gets nice out!

WOW, excellent condition for it's age. I had a 78 Bronco back in the day and if memory serves the entire front clips on that era Ford truck is totally interchangeable for several model years. Watch out for cannibals! :o
